The Heat Loss Calculator is engineered for precise determination of heat loss in residential buildings. This tool assists you in evaluating the heat loss for each room individually, taking into account various construction materials, insulation options, and key building envelope parameters including walls, windows, and roofs.

Features of the calculator:

  • Instant online computation of building heat loss based on specific input parameters.
  • Capability to calculate heat loss for individual components of the building envelope: walls, roofs, floors, windows, and doors.
  • Incorporation of material properties and construction layers for more reliable results.

How to use the calculator:

  1. Enter the dimensions of the room: length, width, and height.
  2. Input the internal temperature to maintain comfort (typically 20-23°C).
  3. Specify the external temperature common for your region or operating conditions.
  4. Select the number of layers and the materials for walls, roofs, and other building envelope elements.
  5. Indicate the number and size of window and door openings.
  6. Click the "CALCULATE HEAT LOSS" button to view the results.

The computed results will be presented in a table, detailing the heat loss for each wall, roof, and opening. This enables you to optimize the building’s design and choose effective thermal insulation materials and the appropriate heating system.

Additional features:

  • If a wall experiences no heat loss (for example, when it adjoins another heated space), assign the corresponding external temperature for that wall.
  • To modify the temperature or dimensions simultaneously for all elements, use the "UPDATE DATA" button.

By using our Heat Loss Calculator, you can efficiently plan your home’s energy consumption, optimize insulation, and select the proper heating system to achieve comfortable living conditions.
