Welcome to our online Metal Weight Calculator — an essential tool for engineers, builders, and designers. Use this dependable calculator to quickly and accurately calculate the weight of various metal profiles including rebar, pipes, I-beams, channels, angles, plates, and hollow sections.

The calculator supports weight calculations for the following section types:

  • Rebar — weight calculation for round-section steel bars.
  • Pipes — applicable for both round and structural pipes of various sizes.
  • I-beams — beams with an I-shaped cross-section commonly used in construction.
  • Channels — U-shaped metal profiles.
  • Angles — L-shaped metal profiles.
  • Plates — flat metal sheets of varying thicknesses.
  • Hollow sections — closed hollow profiles widely used in structural applications.

How to use the calculator:

  1. Select the section type for which you need the weight calculation.
  2. Enter the geometric parameters of the section as shown in the diagram (e.g., diameter, width, height, wall thickness, etc.).
  3. Specify the length of the element in meters.
  4. Click the "Calculate" button.

The result will display the weight of your metal element in kilograms. When calculating the weight for I-beams, channels, angles, and hollow sections, additional parameters such as flange rounding are taken into account for enhanced accuracy.

Note:
- The default steel density is set to 7850 kg/m3. You can adjust this value for other materials if necessary.
